Stanton Elementary students get bicycles for Christmas
Aaron and Alvin Jones donated fifteen Schwinn bicycles to students at Stanton Elementary School on Dec. 19 during a holiday celebration at the school’s library which was decorated from wall to wall to replicate a winter wonderland. The surprised students showed up to the library wondering why they were there and also why their parents were present. Aaron’s mother called Stanton principal, Dr. Sarah Chavez-Gibson, and told her that he is a big advocate of the Northeast El Paso school and wanted to do something special for students at Stanton. Each student received the bike personally from Aaron Jones’ uncle, Montreal Newman, and godfather, Michael Swopes. The donation was a partnership between Alvin and Aaron Jones and Pacific Cycle.
